The Cinderella Jacket
Something pushes me to create something structured, just to do it because I hate doing it!...That is my motto for 2012-2013....Do what I do not like! Why? Someday I am sure that will be revealed to me....but I digress....
The Cinderella Jacket evolved from creating something structured that had to be a certain way so it would fit....But guess what??? For over a year....everyone tried it on and it did not fit....
So I banished it to the PAA Artist Co-op where I am now a member artist. The plan....the Co-op is open 7 days a week....surely a Cinderella would walk in and try on the jacket and it would fit!!!!
Well....today that magic happened. A very beautiful woman came to the gallery after seeing my ad in the Oregon Coast Today and dropped her purse, took off her sweater and her dear husband knew he was in trouble.....She slipped the magical jacket on and VOILA.....Cinderella emerged beautiful and glowing.... From the co-op her and her husband came to the studio and I got to meet them and enjoy their company.
Leslie Dolin is the proud owner and wearer of "The Cinderella Jacket" Leslie is also an Ikebana instructor at the Sogetsu School of Ikebana in Portland. Thank you Leslie and wonderful husband for blessing my day.....

Silk Fusion
Silk Fusion, also known as Silk Paper, is an exciting new creative process.
This unique method bonds silk fibres into a lustrous kind of "felt" which can be gossamer and transparent or thick and opaque as leather. Because the fibres are unspun, silk's rich lustre and texture are captured.
Silk fusion is a perfect canvas for hand or machine stitching, printing, stamping, origami, quilting, jewellery, wearable art, book coverings, collage and on and on. excerpt from: https://www.treenwaysilks.com/fusion.php
Love this medium.....Results of my workshop with Donna Crispin at the Paper Arts Festival in Newport, Oregon. It was blast and oh boy....do I have ideas for these results!!!!
